21 Day Challenge Day 6!

The song of the day is Excellent by Martha Munizzi! Click here to watch that! It’s such a great upbeat song.

I’m so spiritually refreshed already and it’s only been 6 days of this challenge. God is honestly using these challenges to really help me grow. I was telling a friend that I felt God wanted me to do these challenges because I’m being prepared for something big! I can just feel it. If you’re doing it too, make sure that you spend at least 21 minutes each day with God, and also mark an X on your calendar each day.

This morning I’m reading in 1 Samuel 1 and 2 about the story of Hannah. Hannah was barren and cried out to God for a child. I think this is an example of persistence in the Bible, when someone goes to God over and over again until He blesses them with what they prayed for. Once Hannah promised to dedicate her baby to the Lord, she was no longer barren. I pray that God helps me to be willing to give everything I have in order to please Him.

Don’t forget to send me any prayer requests!

Love,

Angela xoxo

21 Day Challenge Day 5!

Wow! Time is flying. You did it! You made it to day 5.

I am so grateful to God for everything. I’m so excited for the growth that’s happening in me during this challenge. I’ve gotten ideas for work, for my future. God doesn’t just care about our spiritual growth. He’s involved in every area of our lives. The verse of today is 4:19.

And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
PHILIPPIANS 4:19 AMP

Read the previous verses for context. Paul is thanking the church for taking care of him. He talks about how he has learned to always be content through God’s strength. The whole fourth chapter is great to read.

My prayer for today is that we continue to trust God and to spend time with Him. To focus more on what He wants and less on what we want. I hope we all enjoy our time with Him!

Love,

Angela xoxo

Don’t forget to put a fifth X on your calendar today!

Here’s a video from my time at the National Symphony Orchestra yesterday!!

Day 4 of the 21 Day Challenge!

Good morning, afternoon or evening. Whenever and wherever you’re reading this. I apologize for missing yesterday on the blog, but I hope that you still had your minimum of 21 minutes with God. I left my phone at home, and I realized how much I depend on it each day, even to blog and to spend time with God.

I still can’t get the song from day 2 out of my head, so it’s our song of the day once again.

He Wants It All by Forever Jones

If you want something more upbeat to listen to, here’s a throwback: The Presence of the Lord is Here by Byron Cage

Below is my prayer for today. Feel free to write in your journal or somewhere a prayer for yourself and your family! Also, I have a prayer request for my grandmother. Please pray that she regains some of her faculties after being hospitalized for a few weeks. Also, it will be tough for my family to take care of her, so pray for strength! Feel free to send me your prayer requests! I can share them anonymously so the other people who read can pray.

Abba,

There is so much pain in this world and so much hatred on the news everyday. Help us to be a cure and a solution. Help us to show love to the unloveable. Help us to grow in the fruits of Your Spirit. As we grow in You we will have more love to share with others, more joy in our lives, more peace in our hearts, more patience with difficult people, more gentleness towards the weak, more goodness for our fellow man, more faithfulness to our families and our commitments, more meekness in our attitudes and more self control in our decision making.

Sanctify us, God. Fill us with Your Spirit which is Your power. Lead and guide us, we surrender our wills and personality to mold to be more like You. Transform us into a person that is whole and loves to worship You. Give me the mind of Christ so that I can think like you think.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen

The verses of today are longer and the context for this prayer.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

21 Day Challenge Day 2!

Day 2!! Mark two X’s on your calendar.

I hope that you are committed to completing the 21 day Challenge. I encourage you to play the song below, pray, and to spend time reading the Bible.

And before you know it, your 21 minute time limit will have come and gone.

He Wants It All by Forever Jones

The verses of the day is Psalm 75:6 (you might remember that verse from the five day challenge).

And Nehemiah 9:16-17

But our ancestors acted arrogantly; they became stiff-necked and did not listen to your commands. They refused to listen and did not remember your wonders you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love, and you did not abandon them.
Nehemiah 9:16‭-‬17 CSB
http://bible.com/1713/neh.9.16-17.CSB

Yesterday, I decided to wrote in my journal because I struggled to focus while I prayed. Here’s the prayer I wrote for all of us reading:

Abba,

I’m grateful that you won’t forsake us, no matter what. You have never failed us. Help us to remember to take care of those who need to feel your love. In this world we oftentimes forget the poverty stricken widow or the single mom who can’t feed her kids or the suicidal homeless man. This life isn’t about our success or even our happiness. It’s about You and Your Kingdom and bringing other sheep back to their Shepherd by sharing the gift You’ve shared with us.

Help us to be a vessel to change the world. To touch the lives of those who feel forgotten or unloved. Help us not to get so lost or distracted in our problems that we forget You put us here to solve the problems of a lost world. We are Your hands and feet. We are the change we need to see in the world. Show us Your plan Lord. Lead us into our destinies. Use us however You see fit.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen

Another one: 21 Day Challenge

Major 🔑 alert!! After you complete one challenge, you gotta keep going.

There’s been a lot on my mind lately. Life is great, and I’m so thankful for all I have. Yet, I have this hunger for more. This desire to go to the next level in my life. I don’t know about you, but the five day challenge gave me a needed spiritual boost. I’m ready for a new and greater challenge. Raise your hand ✋ if you’re with me!

This challenge will be much tougher than the last, but I truly believe God laid it on my heart. Let’s do a 21 prayer/ quiet time challenge. For the next 21 days ( I actually started today) let’s spend at least 21 minutes with God. Super gimmicky I know, but it’s easy to do and remember.

I’ll post a verse and a worship song each day. The rest is up to you whether you want to pray or worship that day. Just make sure you get all your time in. I have a calendar in my room that I’ll make an X on to mark each day I complete the challenge. Maybe you can make a note each day on your phone once you’re done. After 21 days of this, hopefully we will have started a habit that will last a lifetime.

Love,

Angela
