Day 4 of the 21 Day Challenge!

Good morning, afternoon or evening. Whenever and wherever you’re reading this. I apologize for missing yesterday on the blog, but I hope that you still had your minimum of 21 minutes with God. I left my phone at home, and I realized how much I depend on it each day, even to blog and to spend time with God.

I still can’t get the song from day 2 out of my head, so it’s our song of the day once again.

He Wants It All by Forever Jones

If you want something more upbeat to listen to, here’s a throwback: The Presence of the Lord is Here by Byron Cage

Below is my prayer for today. Feel free to write in your journal or somewhere a prayer for yourself and your family! Also, I have a prayer request for my grandmother. Please pray that she regains some of her faculties after being hospitalized for a few weeks. Also, it will be tough for my family to take care of her, so pray for strength! Feel free to send me your prayer requests! I can share them anonymously so the other people who read can pray.

Abba,

There is so much pain in this world and so much hatred on the news everyday. Help us to be a cure and a solution. Help us to show love to the unloveable. Help us to grow in the fruits of Your Spirit. As we grow in You we will have more love to share with others, more joy in our lives, more peace in our hearts, more patience with difficult people, more gentleness towards the weak, more goodness for our fellow man, more faithfulness to our families and our commitments, more meekness in our attitudes and more self control in our decision making.

Sanctify us, God. Fill us with Your Spirit which is Your power. Lead and guide us, we surrender our wills and personality to mold to be more like You. Transform us into a person that is whole and loves to worship You. Give me the mind of Christ so that I can think like you think.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen

The verses of today are longer and the context for this prayer.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
